I got stung by a bee in my left foot, but not even that could ruin the most incredible afternoon we’d had in Japan.
Starting in South Korea and finishing this trip in Japan meant that Tokyo was the last place we’d be visiting. We had traveled from North to South (Seoul → Busan), then West to East (Osaka → Kyoto), and now Tokyo was waiting for us.
It was time to say goodbye to Kyoto. We had one last day in town, and the goal was to make it count.
Been playing with fake synths/controllers in 3D and the goal is to make a diverse collection of them. This is the first round of render tests.
We woke up sleepy and tired, but excited to revisit another city. This time the train ride was short. We had our JR Passes which meant we could ride the super speedy Shinkansen — Osaka to Kyoto would be a 15 minute hop.
Sunny day
Luckily we were staying in Osaka for a couple of days, so it was the perfect excuse to have a different afternoon/evening and cross one item off my bucket list.
🚲 Strava 2023 Recap
We still couldn’t believe we were back in Japan, but the weather sure made sure we knew about it. The clouds in Korea had been kind to us, protecting us from the sun. But now in Osaka there was no more escaping the blazing hot sphere of fire in the sky.
On July 23rd we had but a few hours in Korea. It was time to pack everything because in the afternoon we would be flying out from Busan to Osaka, Japan.
After the epic game of baseball the day before, we only had one last thing on our list for Busan and that was to see the colorful houses in Gamcheon Culture Village.

New post is up: Foggy beach
And just like that it was time to say goodbye to Seoul (for now) and move south in direction to Busan. When we planned this trip a bunch of different Korean destinations came up, but Busan seemed like a no-brainer from what we’d seen.
Almost xmas
🐼 Drew this yesterday for M and was pretty happy with the result. Should draw more.
Santas 🧑🎄🎅 on bikes 🏍️
This was our last full day in Seoul and we were going to do what we do best: stroll around aimlessly and explore the city. It was also my birthday and we wanted to do one special thing with the kids, but more on that later.
